This magnificent bowl will grace any display area. Hand-cut copper sassafras leaves are fired into layers of wispy, pale orange glass. The piece is then slumped over two different molds. Then it is glazed and re-fired. The rim waves and angles unpredictably and for even more interest there are bubbles here and there and even a couple of golf ball sized holes (see picture below of inner view). Faded orange and wispy white mist appearance reminds us that the glories of autumn do not last but can only be captured for a moment.
